WSB falls to Illinois Valley in Oglesby

March 26, 2026 - The Kishwaukee College Softball team managed to get a game in Thursday ahead of bad weather but fell to Illinois Valley CC on the road 11-3. IVCC was the first to get on the board in the first scoring one run.  In the top of the second inning, the Kougars went back into the lead after Madison Hallaron singled, and Illinois Valley CC committed an error, each scoring one run. A grand slam to left field by Illinois Valley have them the lead, 5-2, in the bottom of the second and stayed in front the rest of the way. Kaelyn Williams led things off in the circle for Kish as the starting pitcher surrendered 10 hits and nine runs (one earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out six and walking three.  Lillie Gebel led the Kougs with two hits in three at-bats. Game two needed to be postponed as the weather got worse.

Kishwaukee (11-8 overall, 2-1 Arrowhead Conference) will host Morton College Saturday with game time for first game moved to 1:30 pm and game two to follow.
