Kishwaukee College Men’s Golf Spring 2026 Preview

April 7, 2026 - The Kishwaukee Kougars men's golf team heads into the spring half of the 2025-26 season with a young, locally rooted roster that blends one key returner with a wave of promising freshmen. As an NJCAA Division II program competing in the Arrowhead Conference and Region 4, the Kougars will use a compact but meaningful slate of tournaments to build chemistry, sharpen scoring, and chase a strong finish at the regional championships.

Roster Overview

The official 2025-26 roster features several players, headlined by the team's only sophomore and clear veteran leader.

Sophomore Bryce Olson (DeKalb, Illinois / DeKalb High School)

Olson returns for his second year after a solid freshman campaign. As the lone upperclassman, he is positioned to be the on-course anchor—providing leadership, steady scoring, and guidance for the newcomers.

The Promising Freshmen Class

The first-year players round out the lineup, all hailing from strong area high-school programs. This group brings depth, local knowledge of the courses they'll see in conference play, and high upside as they transition to college golf. Key names include Joshua Glass (Yorkville), Chris Hickey (Rochelle Township), Johnny Lochbaum (Sycamore), Jordan Spears (Rochelle Township), Landon Taylor (Sycamore), and Logan Thorson (Sycamore),

Expect these freshmen to push each other in practice rounds and rotate into the lineup quickly.

Spring 2026 Schedule

The Kougars open the spring portion almost immediately and will compete in four multi-day events over the next three weeks, all within a short drive of campus. The schedule peaks with the NJCAA Region 4 Championships, where a top finish could punch a ticket to nationals.

Key Dates

•  April 6 – Judson University Spring Invite at Randall Oaks Golf Club (West Gurnee, IL), 10:30 a.m.

•  April 16-17 – Eagles Spring Invitational

April 16: Senica's Oak Ridge GC (LaSalle, IL), 9:00 a.m.

April 17: Deer Park GC (Oglesby, IL), 9:00 a.m.

•  April 23 – Melee in Morris Spring Invite at Nettle Creek CC (Morris, IL), 9:00 a.m.

•  April 26-28 – NJCAA Region 4 Championships at PrairieView GC (Byron, IL), 9:00 a.m. daily (36 holes each day)

These events offer a mix of invitational competition and a high-stakes regional test on familiar PrairieView GC, a course the Kougars know well from conference play.

Outlook

With Bryce Olson setting the tone and the freshmen class ready to make their mark, Kishwaukee has the ingredients for a productive and competitive spring. The schedule is front-loaded but strategically placed to allow the young roster to gain valuable tournament reps before the regionals.
