April 3, 2026 - The Kishwaukee College Baseball team flipped home and away dates to get in a doubleheader with Sauk Valley CC on Friday while avoiding more weather. The outcome was two losses to the Skyhawks. In game one, the Kougs would lose a close one 4-1. Sauk Valley got on the board in the bottom of the first inning scoring three runs. Alex Prince took the loss for Kish as the right-handed starter went four and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out five and walking three. Sawyer Larson had the lone run batted in as Nathan Kolder also had two hits plus Jonathan Hartline, Bryce Feit nad Jakob DeLeo added hits in the loss. Caleb Barth tallied the run scored. Bodhi Harrison and Nicholas Coletta allowed 0 ER in relief.
In game two, the Kougars fell 17-6. Kishwaukee would score first in the top of the second inning after Jack Okun laid down a sacrifice bunt, and Seth Nielson hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. They also added one run in the third on a SVCC error, making the score 3-0. Sauk Valley however, scored eight runs on five hits in the bottom of the third to take the lead, 8-3. Sauk scored five runs on six hits in the bottom of the fifth inning to seal the game. Patrick Jasinski took the loss for Kish as he went two and two-thirds innings, surrendering seven runs on five hits, striking out four and walking four. Nielson and Okun each drove in one run for the Kougs while Sawyer Larson added two hits.
Kishwaukee will now host the final nine inning game of the series versus Sauk on Tuesday.
