April 1, 2026 - The Kishwaukee College Baseball team hosted Judson University JV on Wednesday afternoon in what was scheduled as a single 9 inning game. Caleb Barth collected four hits in four at bats, as Kish defeated the Eagles 14-3 in run rule fashion in eight innings. Barth singled in the first inning to tie the game at 1-1, singled in the eighth inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the seventh inning. Sawyer Larson grounded out, which helped the Kougs tie the game at two in the bottom of the third. Kishwaukee took the lead, 4-2, in the bottom of the fourth thanks to singles by Jonathan Hartline, and Brock Metzger and wouldn't look back from there to the win. The Kougars scored five more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning as Larson had a 2 RBI single, then a dropped third strike scored another run, followed by a Nick Price RBI single, finishing with a Bodhi Harrison RBI bases loaded walk.
Josh Uebele earned the win in relief for Kish allowing zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out none and walking none. Alex Prince started the game for the Kougars gaving up one hit and one run over one inning, striking out one and walking two. Jacob Dzado, Juan Rodriguez, John Schulte, Patrick Jasinski, Metzger, and Jack Swedo each came on in relief for Kishwaukee. The Kougs tallied 15 hits in the game as Larson led the way with six runs batted in. Hartline, Price, and Johnny Stasiak each collected multiple hits and Seth Nielson coaxed three walks.
The Kougars will next play at home on Friday, April 3 (originally scheduled for Saturday, April 4) against Sauk Valley CC in an Arrowhead Conference doubleheader starting with first game at 1:00 pm.
