March 31, 2026 - The Kish Baseball team traveled to play a 9 inning conference game Tuesday at Illiinois Valley CC but came up a little short in the final score 13-8. Kishwaukee opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles as Jonathan Hartline singled, scoring two runs. IVCC made the score 4-3 in the bottom of the first. Jakob DeLeo singled to center field on an 0-2 count, which helped the Kougars tie the game at four in the top of the second. However, the Eagles grabbed the lead back in the bottom of the second and would not give it up the rest of the way. Sawyer Larson homered to center field in the third. Jacob Dzado led things off on the bump for Kish and allowed two hits and four runs over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking three.
Kish tallied 12 hits in the game as Hartline had two runs batted in while Bryce Feit led the team with three hits in three at bats. Grant Bruen (triple) collected two hits plus Johnny Stasiak, DeLeo, Jack Okun and Nick Price had RBI. Sean Wasserman, Nathan Kolder had runs scored. Bodhi Harrison pitched 3 innings allowing 2 ER &and striking out 3.
Kishwaukee will next battle Judson University JV on Wednesday (weather permitting) for their next game.
