Kish drops a pair to Motlow State

March 10, 2026 -The Kishwaukee College Baseball team continued their Tennessee spring trip swing Tuesday but this time against host Motlow State CC. In game one, Brock Metzger hit two home runs and drove in four, but it wasnt enought as the Kougars lost 18-8. Metzger homered in the second and fourth innings.  Despite the loss, the Kougars did collect nine hits in the high-scoring affair. Kishwaukee got on the board in the second inning after Metzger homered to left field, scoring two runs. The Kougs made the score 9-5 in the top of the fourth inning when Metzger homered to left field, scoring two runs, and Nathan Kolder hit a solo home run to right field.  Kishwaukee scored three runs in the top of the fifth on a home run to left field by Kolder. Patrick Jasinski stepped on the bump first for the Kougars. The right-handed pitcher surrendered four hits and six runs over two innings, striking out one and walking two. Metzger, Caleb Barth, and Kolder each collected two hits for Kishwaukee.

In game two, Kish took the 13-3 loss. A sacrifice fly by Sawyer Larson put Kishwaukee on the board in the top of the first. Maddox Gerwig started on the mound for the Kougars. The starter gave up three hits and six runs (four earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking four. Jonathan Hartline, Jack Okun, Jakob DeLeo, Johnny Stasiak, and Jackson Young each collected a hit for the Kougs. Bryce Feit, Larson, and DeLeo each drove in one run for Kishwaukee as well.

Next up for Kish is a 9 inning single game at Columbia State on Wednesday.
