Baseball picks up two more conference wins over weekend

April 19, 2025 - The Kishwaukee College baseball team hosted Highland CC on Saturday in Arrowhead Conference play. Kishwaukee would take game one 6-0. The Kougars opened the scoring in the first after Jonathan Hartline singled, scoring one run. A single by Sawyer Larson, and a sacrifice fly by Lenox Estremera helped Kish extend their early lead in the third. "PJ" Patrick Jasinski started on the mound for the Koug and allowed just four hits and zero runs over the CG start, striking out four and walking one.  Hartline, Will Baumgartner, Aidan Rodriguez, Jackson Young, Bryce Feit, and Larson each collected one hit for Kishwaukee as Hartline, Rodriguez, Estremera, and Larson each drove in one run.

Game two saw a single by Lenox Estremera put Kish on the board in the bottom of the third and they wouldnt look back on the way to a 5-0 shutout win and a doubleheader sweep.  Maddox Gerwig opened the game for the Kougars and went the distance gaving up just two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking five. Estremera led Kish with two runs batted in as Bryce Feit had three hits in three at bats. Daelen Figueroa collected two hits.

Kishwaukee (11-28 overall, 8-10 Arrowhead Conference) will travel to Highland to wrap up the Arrowhead Conference part of their schedule on Tuesday then travel to Bryant and Stratton (WI) College on Thursday (weather permitting).
