Volleyball picks up gutty victory over Joliet

September 19, 2019 – The Kishwaukee College Women's Volleyball team, after going 3-3 this past weekend at the competitive Waubonsee Region IV Crossover tourney and a tough road loss in Galesburg against Carl Sandburg College Tuesday night, returned home to Malta to take on Joliet Junior College.  Kish was able to push through some nagging injuries while others continued to elevate their play in a three set sweep of the visiting Wolves.  The Kougars would win 25-15, 26-24 and 25-20 behind numerous kills by Jeanette Brann, Alexis Orkfritz, Kaylee Shetler, Sabrina Groce and Alex Barrera.  Plenty of digs around for teammates Lauren Kunke (who currently is in the top group of Region IV in digs and digs per set), Abigail Ingraham, Orkfritz and Groce along with fine assist passing by Emily Eder who continues to be in the top group of the region in assists.

Kishwaukee 11-10 overall, 1-2 in Arrowhead Conference will next play on Tuesday, September 24 at home against Sauk Valley Community College at 6:00 pm.
