September 4, 2019 - The Kishwaukee College Womens Volleyball team was back at home Wednesday night to open up Arrowhead Conference play. After taking a 2-0 advantage after the first two sets, Kishwaukee would rally late in the fourth set to take the match 3-1 against the Eagles. Lauren Kunke (Woodstock North) led the Kougars with 44 digs, while Emily Eder (Woodstock North) served up 40 assists on the night. Sabrina Groce (Cornerstone Christian) had 24 digs and 9 hitting points, Jeanette Brann (Genoa Kingston HS) added 6 blocks and 12 hitting points and Alex Barrera (Mendota HS) had 16 digs and 10 hitting points to aid Kish's overall team game. Abigail Ingraham (Hiawatha HS) and Kaylee Shetler (Morrison HS) kept the ball off the floor and helped the Kougar passing efficiency in winning key points in each set.
Kishwaukee (3-4 overall, 1-0 Arrowhead Conference) will play in the Joliet Junior College tournament beginning this Saturday before hitting the road again to play another Arrowhead Conference opponent, Black Hawk College, in Moline on September 10.
