Volleyball picks up first win of season at Chiefs' Invitational

 

August 27, 2018 – The Kishwaukee College Women's Volleyball team played four matches over the weekend at the Waubonsee College Chiefs' Invitational.  31 teams competed over the three-day event and the Kougars went 1-3 in their matches.  On Saturday, Kish lost to Glen Oaks (MI) CC 3-0 as well as dropping a match to Parkland (IL) CC 3-1.  Then on Sunday, Kishwaukee lost to Illinois Central College 3-0 but took the finale against Olive Harvey 3-0.   Hailey White had 24 kills and 21 digs over the weekend tourney with Jeanette Brann posting 25 kills and 9 blocks.  Katie Schilling had 80 assists between the four matches along with 7 digs.  Megan Hauman tallied 40 digs, Faith Roush had 9 digs, Alexis Orkfritz and Madison Hunt had 8 digs each and Shelbie Preston helped with 3 blocks and 13 digs herself.  Kishwaukee will host conference rival Carl Sandburg College at 6:00 pm Tuesday, August 29 in Malta.
